Therefore, to know the effective indicators in this field, it is necessary to study teachers' and students' views. Methods: In this review study, articles published between 2010-2011 were reviewed. Electronic search in Persian and English using Persian and English keywords education, effectiveness, and medical sciences in SID, Magiran, Iran Medex, PubMed, Scopus, Ovid, Science Direct, Elsevier, and ProQuest were performed, and 14 articles were extracted. Inclusion criteria included publishing in Persian or English, being research, having medium and high quality based on JBI-MASTARI tools, and accessing the full version of the article. Exclusion criteria also included articles in the form of letters to the editor, case reports, and lack of access to the full article. Results: Based on the studies' results, the six essential indicators in the effectiveness of education in medical sciences were teacher communication power, teacher personal characteristics, teaching method, student personal characteristics, scholarship, and educational environment, respectively. Conclusions: Due to the importance of education in medical sciences, effective indicators in this field should be paid more attention to, and careful planning should be done to promote these indicators in professors, students, and the educational environment. It is also recommended to conduct further studies in prioritizing these indicators and paying attention to graduates and staff of health centers' opinions.
